A few months after photographing the opening of Community Sauna Baths Walthamstow, I was invited back to capture a fresh collection of wellness brand photography featuring people enjoying the space, from the saunas and cold plunges to the cute community garden (complete with chickens!).
The Community Sauna team wanted relaxed, natural and soulful imagery that captured the atmosphere and energy of the space for their website, newsletters and social media. From heating up in the sauna with scented ice bombs and experiencing an Aufguss ritual, to being whisked with birch leaves, braving a 4°C cold plunge, relaxing in the decompression area and feeding the chickens, the focus was always on genuine moments rather than anything overly posed or cheesy.
I absolutely love working with Community Sauna. Every shoot is full of warmth (quite literally!), good humour and brilliant people, making it incredibly easy to capture the connection and sense of community that keeps people coming back.
