On a winter’s day in Chelsea, just off the King’s Road with all its festive decorations, I met freelance book editor Bonnie Macleod for her Soulful Shoot.
A former editor at some of the top publishing houses, Bonnie went freelance earlier this year with a clear mission. She wants to help talented writers navigate the often intimidating world of publishing. Her goal is to demystify the process, share her insider knowledge, and support authors whether they’re pursuing traditional publishing or choosing to self-publish instead.
Bonnie offers thoughtful, practical support every step of the way to help make publishing dreams feel achievable. She’s launching three new editing packages at the start of the new year, which will go live on her website alongside our brand photos.
For the shoot, Bonnie was keen to be photographed in spaces that reflected her work and personality. A bookshop was top of her list, and she chose BookBar in Chelsea. Right next door was New Forms, a brilliant hybrid space that’s part record store, part café, part cocktail spot, and a real community hub. It was the perfect pairing.
We captured Bonnie reading, browsing the shelves, selecting books, enjoying coffee, and working on her laptop. The result is a relaxed, natural set of brand images that feel colourful, calm, friendly, and quietly confident.
I loved what we created together and can’t wait to see these images live on Bonnie’s website very soon.
