Me, about two seconds later: "Oh my gosh... can you smell the jasmine?”
Sarah: "I think you might have ADHD." 😂
Sarah had recently left her full time corporate career to set up as an ADHD coach, supporting women who receive an ADHD diagnosis later in life.
Her own ADHD diagnosis came in her mid-forties after a period of significant burnout that led her to stop, reassess the way she'd been working, and question whether success was really worth the cost.
That experience completely reshaped her understanding of herself. It inspired her to retrain as an ADHD coach so she could help other women feel less alone, better understood, and more able to build a life and business that actually works for them.
I had such fun photographing Sarah for her Soulful Shoot - we started at her home, moving bits of furniture around, making use of the beautiful natural light and asking her hilarious neighbour/ friend to stand in as a client for a few shots.
After that we wandered over to her local park (Arnos Park) for a mixture of relaxed portraits amongst the trees and some more urban shots beneath the beautiful brick viaduct, built in 1932 with its 34 arches.
One of my favourite things about Soulful Shoots is that no two are ever the same. We simply create photographs that feel like you - whether that's working from home, walking your favourite route, meeting clients or just enjoying your local area.
