The UK's first sauna festival, The Saunaverse, has been running for the last few years at Hackney Wick Community Sauna Baths, and I've been lucky enough to photograph all of their events.
This year's festival was an absolute scorcher. Almost as hot outside as it was inside the saunas! But that didn't stop anyone enjoying a packed programme of sauna rituals, cold plunges, kundalini yoga, ecstatic dance, sound healing, cacao, DJs, workshops and plenty of community vibes and connection.
One of the things I love most about photographing wellness events like this is capturing the atmosphere between the activities. The laughter, conversations, moments of connection and the sense of community that builds throughout the day.
As a London based event photographer, it's always such a joy to work with soul led businesses creating these fun experiences that bring people together, and Saunaverse does exactly that.
