My second shoot for London Sauna Week 2026 at WellNest in London Bridge. This time, a book launch celebrating Mikkel Aaland's two-volume collector's edition, bringing together his books Sweat (1978) and Naked Sweat (2026), published nearly 50 years apart!
I really love the sauna community. I’ve met so many lovely people over the last few years photographing sauna events across London, and there’s always such a friendly, down-to-earth vibe. So it was a joy to be invited by co-founders Wendy Liu and Mika Meskanen to photograph the launch of the very first London Sauna Week at Wellnest in London Bridge.
Community Sauna Baths Hackney Wick is where it all began for me… it’s the OG! This was my fourth summer shoot with Community Sauna, and returning to Hackney Wick always feels good.
Reset London is a total vibe. Nestled on Upper Street in Islington, this beautifully designed sauna, contrast therapy and breathwork space combines calming interiors, cool atmospheric lighting, a large communal sauna, places to chill out and even a cute little bar. It feels like a sanctuary tucked away in the middle of the city.
Another summer shoot with Community Sauna Baths, but this time at their Stratford site - the only one I'd never visited before. And wow... I loved it. It's tucked away between towering skyscrapers, apartment blocks and Westfield shopping centre. Most people probably don't even realise it's there.
